Job Purpose

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to support data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation workflows. This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL capabilities, hands-on Python experience, and exposure to modern data tooling such as dbt and Airflow.

You will work closely with a lead engineer and gain hands-on experience across end-to-end data engineering tasks.

Essential Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL (Snowflake experience preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Python for data processing and automation
• Familiarity with dbt for data modeling and transformations
• Exposure to workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Experience handling or integrating with Excel-based data sources
• Experience working with structured file-based data sources
• Understanding of basic data modeling principles
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or Power Automate

Good to Have

• Experience modernizing Excel-based or macro-driven business processes
• Prior experience delivering data transformation projects involving SQL, cloud DWs, and orchestration tools
• Exposure to Power BI or other reporting platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from Excel-based data sources
• Develop SQL queries and dbt models to support data transformations and analytics
• Assist in reconciliation, validation, and testing of transformed datasets
• Collaborate closely with the lead resource to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
