Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with 10+ years of expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data architectures. The ideal candidate will have very strong SQL skills , with the ability to design complex database solutions and performance-tuned queries. Experience with PL/SQL is highly valued. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on technical ability to drive our data ecosystem forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Strategy :
• Design, implement, and optimize scalable data architecture solutions across transactional, analytical, and reporting systems.
• Define standards, best practices, and governance models for data management and integration.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational objectives.
• Database Design & Development :
• Architect and maintain robust data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
• Write, optimize, and review complex SQL and PL/SQL code for performance and maintainability.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security in database solutions.
• Data Integration & ETL :
• Design efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement best practices in integration and transformation.
• Performance & Optimization :
• Monitor and tune large-scale database queries and stored procedures.
• Implement indexing, partitioning, and other strategies for performance improvements.
• Governance & Security :
• Ensure compliance with data quality, data privacy, and security policies.
• Define data retention, lineage, and metadata strategies.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and database development .
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and advanced PL/SQL programming.
• Strong background in relational database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
• Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning .
• Experience in ETL processes, data integration tools, and data warehouses/lakes .
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
• Experience with data governance frameworks and master data management (MDM) .
• Familiarity with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
