Management Level Definition:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with over a decade of expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale data architectures. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in database design, data modeling, and data engineering, ensuring that data systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on design capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across business and IT teams to enable data-driven decision-making.

What you’ll do:

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture & Strategy
    • Define and maintain the organization’s enterprise data architecture blueprint.
    • Develop strategies for data integration, storage, retrieval, and governance.
    • Ensure data architecture aligns with business goals and analytics needs.
  • Database Design & Optimization
    • Design and optimize relational and non-relational database schemas for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
    • Implement indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
    • Ensure database designs adhere to normalization, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Data Engineering & Integration
    • Oversee data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data transformation workflows.
    • Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple sources.
    • Support real-time and batch processing solutions.
  • Data Governance, Security & Compliance
    • Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
    • Define and enforce data security policies, access controls, and encryption standards.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and industry standards.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Partner with analytics, BI, application, and infrastructure teams to deliver data solutions.
    • Mentor data engineers, modelers, and database administrators.
    • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical direction on data-related projects.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in data architecture, database design, and data engineering.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be strong in PostgreSQL, ClickHouse & Cassandra
  • Proficiency in RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner, etc.).
  • Expertise in big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud data services (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).
  • Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue) and streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Certifications (preferred): AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, Google Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
