Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Report Developer with strong expertise in Sigma, Power BI, and advanced SQL to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end report development experience, a solid understanding of data visualization best practices, and a passion for building scalable, high-quality business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Sigma.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to extract and manipulate business data from multiple sources.
• Create advanced data models and dimensional designs using DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines to connect, import, shape, and transform data from relational databases for business intelligence purposes.
• Optimize Power BI and Sigma report performance by fine-tuning data models, query execution, and refresh schedules.
• Publish and manage reports to Power BI Service, handle user access control, and manage permissions.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations and dashboards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data models, reports, and ETL processes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of BI solutions.
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot report-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 68 years of hands-on experience in report development and business intelligence roles.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI including DAX, Power Query, and advanced report design.
• Advanced experience in Sigma for creating interactive visualizations and business intelligence solutions.
• Strong SQL expertise with ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Proficiency in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar ETL tools for data pipeline development.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to transform data into actionable insights.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Cloud Services (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, etc.)
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data processing.
• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
• Familiarity with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Experience working in a data-driven organization with large-scale datasets.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for large database systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
