Data & AI Technical Lead - Innovation Hub

We are seeking a Data & AI Lead for a small Innovation Hub to deliver proofs of concept (PoCs) and reusable assets, for various usecases withn Financial Services, with a focus on GRC domains (AML, Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Data & AI PoCs and innovation prototypes
• Build reusable technical assets, accelerators, and reference architectures
• Design governed semantic and logical data layers
• Implement data virtualization and federated data access patterns
• Apply DataOps and MLOps practices for repeatable PoC delivery
• Design cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP (based on client needs)
• Shape GenAI / LLM PoCs (RAG, knowledge retrieval, case summarization, data discovery)
• Develop domain-aligned data models for AML, Risk, and Compliance
• Mentor and lead a small engineering team (25 members)
• Present PoC outcomes to business, IT, and compliance stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 1014 years in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or AI/Data Solutioning.
• Strong experience in: Data architecture & data modeling; Data integration & distributed data systems; Data virtualization & semantic layer design and SQL + Python.
• Practical experience in DataOps and/or MLOps practices.
• Experience building modular, API-driven, reusable components.
• Multi-cloud solution design experience (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Working knowledge of LLM and GenAI solution patterns.
• Strong Financial Services domain background.
• Experience in GRC domains AML, Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance.
• Proven experience leading small technical teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with data virtualization platforms (e.g., Denodo).
• Experience with data science & AutoML platforms (e.g., Dataiku).
• Exposure to AI-enabled data platforms and data fabric approaches.
• Relevant cloud / data / AI certifications.
