At QPiAI, we are leading the effort to discover optimal AI and Quantum systems in Life sciences, Healthcare, Transportation, Finance, Industrial, and Space technologies. QPiAI is building a full stack Enterprise Quantum Computers. QPiAI Quantum hardware team is responsible for designing and characterization of Quantum Processor, Cryogenic Quantum Control Circuits, RF Control Hardware, and QPiAI ASGP.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Cybersecurity Intern to support our information security and IT risk management activities. This role offers hands-on exposure to cybersecurity operations, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), and incident response within a professional IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and review security alerts and system logs (SIEM, servers, endpoints).
• Assist in vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking.
• Support risk assessments, audits, and compliance documentation.
• Assist in incident response investigations and reporting.
• Support user access reviews and identity management tasks.
• Help maintain security policies, SOPs, and reports.
• Participate in security awareness initiatives.
• Research emerging cyber threats and security best practices.

Required Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Basic understanding of Cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of common threats such as phishing, malware, and ransomware Tools (Exposure is a Plus).
• Vulnerability scanners (Nessus, OpenVAS) Firewalls, Antivirus, or EDR solutions.
• Governance & Compliance (Good to Have).
• Awareness of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, IT Act 2000.
• Basic understanding of risk management and audit processes.

Eligibility Criteria

• Final-year student or recent graduate in:
• Computer Science.
• Information Technology.
• Cybersecurity.
• Electronics or related discipline.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and information security.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively.

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

CompTIA Security+.

CEH (Theory).

ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation.

Any relevant cybersecurity training or lab experience.

Internship Duration

36 Months (Extendable based on performance).
