Job Description

Position: MS Defender

Job Location: Chennai

MDE --- Roles & Responsibilities

Lead advanced threat detection and response activities via Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

Analyze and investigate incidents across:

- Defender for Identity

- Defender for Office 365

- Defender for Cloud Apps

Guide and mentor L1/L2 SOC analysts in handling escalations and complex investigations

Conduct proactive threat hunting using KQL queries across M365D and Microsoft Sentinel

Collaborate with internal stakeholders via Microsoft Security Center and Compliance Center

Fine-tune alerts, policies, and telemetry configurations to minimize false positives

Maintain and update incident response playbooks and runbooks

Execute containment and remediation via Microsoft Intune and Defender features (e.g., device isolation, investigation package collection)

Integrate threat intelligence into Defender and Sentinel ecosystems

Provide post-incident root cause analysis (RCA), trend insights, and executive-level reporting

Stay abreast of Microsofts evolving security roadmap and emerging threats
