Customer Success Specialist - Digital Port Clearance
Location: CFARER office Pune
Team: Customer Success
Reports to: Customer Success Manager
About the role
In this role, you will be part of our core team, working alongside Customer Success, Product Management, Development, and Sales. You will play a key role in customer support, maintaining and analyzing maritime and customer data, and supporting clients to ensure they get maximum value from our solutions. This is a role combining customer interaction, data responsibilities, and operational tasks.
What you will be doing
Customer Success & Operations
- Successfully onboard new customers.
- Perform back-office tasks such as data management and new account setup.
- Configure and add new ports to the platform as part of our global coverage roadmap.
- Provide customer support and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Work in shifts (a typical 95 mindset wont apply) and occasionally take weekend shifts.
- Maintain and update the database for our commercial maritime products.
- Proactively identify data discrepancies and perform corrections.
- Create documentation based on data analysis.
- Take ownership of the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
What you bring
- Bachelors degree in Maritime Studies, IT, or a related field.
- 25 years of relevant experience in customer support or in the maritime sector (onboard, port services, or maritime software).
- A growth mindset and entrepreneurial attitudeyou see challenges as learning opportunities.
- Strong affinity with digitalization and IT; knowledge of SQL or GraphQL is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and professional proficiency in English (spoken & written).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex topics quickly.
- Enthusiasm for working with people combined with accuracy in managing and interpreting data.
Nice to have
- Interest in maritime rules and regulations.
- Experience in data collection, documentation, or data management.
- Familiarity with digital maritime solutions.
