Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, technically competent Customer Quality Engineer to manage all quality-related interactions with automotive OEMs for C-Electrics traction motor controller products. This role will serve as the primary interface between customers and internal cross-functional teams for customer complaints, warranty concerns, field issues, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, solid root cause analysis capability (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.), and hands-on experience in handling OEM customers. The position is critical within the Customer Care function, with core responsibility for driving customer satisfaction through timely and structured resolution of product line issues, field complaints, and investigation claims, supported by detailed technical analysis. The role involves collecting and consolidating customer feedback/data, coordinating with Plant Quality and Engineering teams, and ensuring effective containment, corrective, and preventive actions. End-to-end complaint closure and sustained customer satisfaction will be key performance indicators (KPIs) for this role
Skill Required:
- Diploma or Bachelors or degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in customer complaint handling.
- Strong knowledge of 8D methodology
- Good understanding of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements
- Experience in an automotive electronics manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of EMS processes
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Structured problem-solving approach

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Interface & Complaint Management
- Act as a single point of contact for customer quality concerns.
- Handle customer complaints related to electronic products (ECU, MCU, motor controllers, PCB assemblies).
- Lead containment actions and ensure timely communication to customers.
- Drive resolution through structured problem-solving methodologies.
2. Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
- Lead and prepare 8D reports for customer complaints.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis using tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagram, Fault Tree Analysis and Pareto Analysis
- Define and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure effectiveness validation and closure within agreed timelines.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse warranty returns, field failures, and production rejections.
- Drive reduction in PPM levels and customer returns.
- Prepare quality dashboards and present performance metrics to management.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of actions (Initial Containment Actions and Permanent Corrective Actions) for issues and report the outcomes.
