Job Overview
The Credit Portfolio Officer is a senior-level position responsible for leading collections policy activities including (not restricted to) portfolio monitoring, portfolio deep-dives, suggesting strategy and policy enhancements opportunities, lead end to end implementation of strategies, which involves working with different stakeholders across teams, review policy exceptions and work with the controls teams closely on sizing, fixing and providing effective controls. Participate in regulatory reviews and exams. This role will support USRB portfolio. Its an IC role.
Responsibilities:
Help in development of reporting framework for USRB collections. Monitor monthly trends for insights and work proactively on enhancement of the reporting platform, aligned with simplification and automation goals
Understand USRB policies and deep-dive to find any gaps. Work with controls team for sizing / fixing and remediation and also putting on compensating controls
Understand USRB strategies and work on enhancements / Lead end to end strategic initiates - working with many stakeholders
Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, forecasting and new program due diligence
Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on expected portfolio performance and areas of potential risk and/or opportunity
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry
Proven ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
Demonstrated ability to synthesize and prioritize
Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
Education:
Bachelor's/Master's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
