Credit Analyst Real Estate (CRE)
Location: Mumbai
Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to support the Credit team in evaluating and managing commercial real estate (CRE) lending proposals. The role involves financial analysis, underwriting support, credit note preparation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring within the real estate segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Evaluation:
Assist in detailed financial analysis including cash flow assessment, project viability review, and borrower risk profiling in the CRE sector.
Financial Due Diligence:
Analyze balance sheets, P&L statements, bank statements, project cash flows, and assess creditworthiness of borrowers.
Underwriting Support:
Prepare structured credit notes highlighting key risks, mitigants, security structure, and recommendation rationale.
Portfolio Monitoring:
Support tracking of loan performance, monitor financial covenants, flag early warning signals, and assist in periodic reviews.
Industry & Market Analysis:
Track real estate market trends, micro-market dynamics, regulatory developments, and sector-specific risks.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare credit appraisal reports, internal MIS, risk summaries, and presentations for review by senior credit members.
Regulatory & Policy Compliance:
Ensure proposals comply with internal credit policies and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Coordinate with business teams, legal, valuation agencies, and other internal stakeholders for smooth evaluation and processing.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 26 years of experience in credit underwriting / risk assessment within NBFC / Bank / Financial Institution (exposure to CRE preferred).
- Technical Skills: Strong financial modelling, cash flow analysis, and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate borrower strength, project risks, and structuring aspects.
- Communication: Strong report-writing and presentation skills.
