Role Overview

The Credit Analyst will support Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) teams by performing high-quality financial, industry, ESG, and client-level analysis. The role involves preparing detailed credit reports, supporting lending decisions, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Analysis & Underwriting

• Conduct comprehensive industry, competitor, ESG, and financial analysis for GB/CMB Relationship Management teams.
• Analyse financial statements and supporting documents to provide recommendations for lending decisions .
• Prepare end-to-end credit reports , including industry analysis, peer benchmarking, risk rating, and documentation review.
• Evaluate covenants (financial & non-financial) , collateral, credit structures, and exposure.
• Work on financial projections, cash flow analysis, leverage, working capital, EV , and other key credit metrics.

Required Qualifications

• CA / CFA / MBA (Finance/Economics) or equivalent qualification.
• 514 years of relevant experience in Credit Analysis / Credit Underwriting / Loan Appraisal .
• Strong credit writing skills; ability to prepare well-structured, English-written credit reports.
• Experience with commercial loans, corporate loans , or US credit portfolios.
• Sustainability/ESG knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent communication (verbal & written), strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, diligent, and a strong team player.
