Creative Director- Associate Vice President

The Creative Director plays a critical role in delivering award-winning creative work to support our Marketing Excellence organization. A champion who drives seamless workflow for on-time and on-budget delivery of assets, this is someone who has tireless enthusiasm for the details. Leading a team of thinkers, innovators, and doers, this individual is expected to bring a mix of marketing expertise and business acumen to the role, support and strengthen the strategic direction, operational management, and professional development for the creative team.
The candidate should be able to effectively multi-task a high-volume workload, including the management of multiple projects, substantial number of incoming submissions and internal production meetings. We are looking for someone who can inspire others while taking our creative output to a new level as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and be a prolific generator of dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences. They should also be able to develop business by seeking out, demonstrating capabilities, and building and deploying creative campaigns for a variety of marketers and associated teams/businesses within Deloitte.

This role will oversee Deloittes USI-based creative professionals, comprising conceptual art directors, designers, writers, and the production team, who handle all creative ideation and production within Deloitte, driving and ensuring each program and deliverable is successful and of the highest possible quality. Focused on executing campaigns and developing world-class talent. The role involves collaborating with creative colleagues across the US, USI, and USCR ME organizations. They will be a member of the creative leadership team and report to the USI Marketing Excellence Leader and US ME Creative Leader.
Work you will do:
You'll be a working leader, generating your own ideas and inspiring your teams to do the same by providing leadership in the creation of big brand-building ideas across all channels through the lens of art, strategy, and technology.
Oversee dozens of projects, maintaining high level of accuracy, quality, and impact across all
Translate marketing objectives into strategically sound ideas and manage your teams process from concept to completion
Oversee a diverse and geographically distributed team, with broad responsibility for the design and development of the visual, tone, and aesthetic character of marketing campaigns.
Recruit and manage freelance talent as needed to augment in-house teams.
Create the vision of campaigns while leading and collaborating with copywriters, art directors, designers, planners, and account service to bring it to life
Lead the work into fresh creative territories by making ideas compelling, relevant, and desirable to our audiences. Ensure work adheres to and pushes the brand standards envelope.
Lead effective, strategically driven, client presentations that create excitement and demonstrate how the creative delivers on business goals
Regularly interface with clients at all levels and put them first, listening to understand their obstacles and hunting for solutions that are innovative and fresh
Actively coach junior through ACD-level creatives, involving them in projects and inspiring their growth and development by providing consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunities
Plan and manage budgets to ensure proper prioritization and utilization of resources
Assist with new business initiatives while growing existing accounts
Build the profile of Deloittes creative team in-market, participating in industry associations, award shows, and other venues to help attract creative talent
Build and maintain a creative community in the local office, delivering regular trainings, workshops, etc. to inspire and elevate the work of the USI-based creatives and help retain and grow creative talent
Lead recruiting efforts for creative talent in the India market,
Successful candidate will possess Demonstrated leadership skills plus the ability to generate their own ideas and experiences while inspiring their teams to do the same
Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management and adapt to business needs
Ability to develop strong client relationships and establish a level of trust to help sell creative
Strong presentation skills
Effective negotiation skills and the ability to navigate conflicting priorities
Track record of bringing strong relationships and trust with creative partners, acting as an open and willing resource in assessing ideas and directions.
Ability to immerse yourself in the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of Deloittes businesses
Strong connections to local advertising and creative groups and associations
Track record of training and inspiring team members through workshops, trainings, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors/4-year University degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Required Qualifications
15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years of experience as a Creative or Associate Creative Director with an agency/ firm
Strong online portfolio demonstrating your innovative work across multiple channels
Strong verbal and written English communications skills
A strong creative network within the market, along with connections to industry and creative associations
Have expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud tools, as well as familiarity with AEM
Be familiar with Agile and Sprint working methodologies
