About Role:

Director will be responsible for translating the show's creative concept into a dynamic and engaging live experience. The Director will lead the production crew and on-screen talent from pre-production through the final live, "calling the show" in real-time to ensure a flawless, high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Production and Creative Planning:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the creative vision, pacing, and structure for each live stream.
• Develop and own the master Run-of-Show (ROS) document, planning every segment, camera shot, graphic cue, and video playback.
• Lead all pre-production meetings, including technical scouts and creative kick-offs, to ensure alignment across all departments.
• Direct and block all camera shots during rehearsals, working with camera operators to establish framing, composition, and movement.
• Oversee and approve all on-screen assets, including graphics, pre-recorded videos (AVs), and set design elements.

Live Broadcast Execution:

• Serve as the primary voice of the production during the live streaming, "calling the show" by providing clear, continuous verbal commands to the entire technical crew (OBS Operator, Camera Operators, Production Assistants).
• Direct all on-screen talent, providing cues, timing, and performance feedback to ensure a confident and engaging presentation.
• Control the overall pacing and energy of the live stream, making real-time adjustments to the ROS as needed to respond to unforeseen events or opportunities.
• Ensure seamless integration of all production elements, including live camera switches, graphic overlays, and video roll-ins.

Quality Control & Troubleshooting:

• Act as the final authority on all creative and technical decisions during the live broadcast.
• Remain calm under pressure and make quick, decisive calls to resolve any unexpected issues that arise during the stream, from technical glitches to talent miscues.
• Lead post-show review sessions to identify successes and areas for improvement for future live.

Experience & Qualification:

• Overall 5+ years of professional experience in live broadcast production, live streaming, or television directing.
• Proven, hands-on experience as a Director or Technical Director, with demonstrable expertise in "calling" live multi-camera shows in a control room or similar environment.
• Demonstrable experience leading and managing production crews (camera operators, technical staff, etc.) and directing on-screen talent in a live setting.
