Job Title : Creative Designer & Video Editor Location:

COER University, Roorkee (On-campus, Full-time)

Role Summary

COER University is seeking aCreative Designer & Video Editor

to strengthen its branding, communication, and digital presence. The role requires a creative professional with strong visual design capabilities, video editing expertise, and the ability to conceptualise and execute digital content across platforms.

Success in this position means:

Producing high-quality creatives and videos that enhance the Universitys brand identity.

Supporting admission, placement, research, and institutional campaigns with compelling visual storytelling.

Ensuring consistency in brand messaging across all digital and print touchpoints.

Working collaboratively with the marketing and admissions teams to meet campaign timelines and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Visual Creation

Create visually compelling designs for social media posts, stories, ads, brochures, banners, posters, standees, and other digital/print materials.

Develop layouts, illustrations, icons, and infographics that simplify and enhance communication.

Maintain brand consistency by adhering to visual guidelines, colour palettes, logos, and typography standards.

Video Editing & Motion Graphics

Edit short-form and long-form videos for social media, campaigns, events, announcements, testimonials, and campus highlights.

Incorporate motion graphics, transitions, animations, overlays, and sound design to elevate video output.

Repurpose raw footage into polished, platform-ready content.

Campaign Support & Strategy Alignment

Adapt designs for performance marketing campaigns on Google, Meta, and LinkedIn.

Create A/B variations for digital ads suited for awareness, engagement, and lead generation.

Work with the digital marketing team to ensure creatives support campaign objectives and KPIs.

Collaboration & Execution

Translate briefs into high-quality creative outputs within defined timelines.

Collaborate with marketing, admissions, academic departments, and leadership for content alignment.

Organise and maintain an asset library of design files, footage, templates, and brand materials.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Background

Bachelors degree in Design, Fine Arts, Media, Animation, Communication, or related fields.

Relevant certifications in design or video editing will be an advantage.

Professional Experience

Minimum3 years of hands-on experience

as a Creative Designer, Graphic Designer, Video Editor, or similar role.

Prior experience in education, corporate branding, digital agencies, or content creation teams is preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficiency inAdobe Creative Suite

(Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign optional).

Working knowledge of

Figma

and

Canva .

Strong experience with

video editing tools

like Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

Understanding of motion graphics, animation basics, colour grading, and sound editing.

Knowledge of social media specifications and asset optimisation.

Creative Skills

Strong sense of visual aesthetics, layout, colour theory, typography, and storytelling.

Ability to convert briefs into creative concepts and mood boards.

Eye for detail, originality, and consistency in design.

Behavioural & Soft Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

Collaborative, receptive to feedback, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and deliver within deadlines.
