Creative Design Lead

As we continue to expand, we seek a Design Strategy Lead for Sundews Design Department, who will lead and inspire a dynamic team of designers to create innovative and user-centric designs that align with Sundew's brand vision and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Strategy:

• Develop and implement creative strategies that align with the company's goals and enhance brand identity across all visual touchpoints.
• Ensure the design team delivers high-quality, user-centered design solutions across all projects.

Leadership and Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of designers, conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Identify skill gaps and provide training and development opportunities for the team.

Client Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and translating them into effective design solutions.
• Present creative design ideas and pitches to clients, showcasing the value and impact of our design services.

Hands-On Design & Development:

• Participate in hands-on design tasks, including UI and UX design, to set the standard for quality and creativity.
• Utilize Adobe tools, Figma, and Web Flow to create compelling design assets and prototypes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design into the product development process.
• Drive development strategies that enhance product functionality and user experience.

Innovation & Trends:

• Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and techniques to keep the design team at the cutting edge of creative excellence.
• Incorporate new techniques and approaches to continuously improve the design process and outcomes.

Required Skill Sets and Qualifications:

• 12+ years of hands-on design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work.
• Proven experience managing a design team.
• Proficiency in Adobe tools, Figma, and Web Flow.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and user-centered design methodologies.
• Strong ability to present and pitch creative ideas to clients.
• Hands-on coding skills and the ability to drive development strategies.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master's preferred)
