Oceanus is a London-based luxury swimw and resort wear lifestyle brand known for bold design, intricate embellishment and a strong commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability. As the brand continues to grow, we are looking for a Creative Design Assistant based in Delhi to work closely with our Creative Director and support the design and development process across collections.

This role is particularly important as many of our pieces involve handcrafted embellishment, embroidery and artisanal techniques, and having someone closely connected to our production partners in India will help ensure design integrity and craftsmanship are maintained throughout the development process.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fashion and design who wants to be closely involved in the creative process and contribute to the development of Oceanus collections from concept through to final product.

Role Overview

The Creative Design Assistant will support the Creative Director in all aspects of the design process, helping translate ideas into collections while maintaining the distinctive Oceanus aesthetic. This role requires someone highly organised, creatively minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced fashion environment.

As Oceanus focuses heavily on embellished, embroidered and hand-crafted pieces, it would be particularly valuable for candidates to have experience with, or a strong interest in, artisanal craftsmanship, embellishment and decorative techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Creative Support

Work closely with the Creative Director to support the development of seasonal collections

Assist with research, mood boards and concept development

Support sketching and technical drawing preparation for design development

Assist in preparing design presentations and collection reviews

Product Development

Support the development of samples and prototypes with production teams

Help manage fabric sourcing, trims and embellishments

Track sample development and ensure timelines are maintained

Assist with fittings and design adjustments

Liaise with local production teams to ensure design details and craftsmanship standards are maintained

Creative Coordination

Organise design files, materials and collection references

Prepare materials for internal presentations, showroom appointments and buyer meetings

Assist with lookbook and campaign preparation where required

What Were Looking For

A strong interest in fashion design and the luxury fashion industry

Experience or education in fashion design or a related field

Interest or experience in embellishment, embroidery and hand-crafted garment techniques

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively with creative and production teams

Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar software

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-growing brand environment
