Counsellor

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Counsellor to provide preventive and supportive mental health services on campus. The selected candidate will lead student wellness initiatives, provide counselling support, and help ensure the institution meets statutory mental health compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling sessions for students.
• Support individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, academic pressure, and personal challenges
• Conduct risk assessments and manage crisis situations
• Provide guidance for suicide prevention and emergency referrals when required
• Conduct workshops, seminars, and mental health awareness Programmes
• Maintain confidential counselling records and documentation
• Support the Mental Health & Counselling Cell for NAAC/NIRF audit requirements

Qualification Criteria:

• Masters Degree in Psychology (Clinical / Counselling) or Social Work (Mental Health)
• Preferably trained in suicide-prevention and adolescent/young-adult counselling
• Relevant experience in educational institutions will be an added advantage
