Core Roles & Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis & Control: Analysis of Material and other cost drivers and identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving strategies.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing detailed cost budgets based on historical data and future projections, monitor actual spending against budgets to track deviations.
• Financials Modelling : Preparation of financials models for various purposes.
• Variance Analysis: Comparing actual production costs against "standard" or predetermined costs. Discrepancies to be analysed to identify root causes like price fluctuations and Yield Variances etc.
• Product Pricing Support: Providing cost-driven insights to help management set competitive and profitable prices.
• Inventory Management & Valuation: Monitoring stock levels and ensuring accurate valuation for financial reporting. This includes assessing slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Process Improvement: Collaborating with departments to assess and redesign business processes for faster and accurate decision making.
• Support in Automation : Support and Lead various projects for automation.
• Cost Audit and Record : Preparation of Cost records and report for Cost Audit.

Essential Skills

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex datasets and identify patterns in spending or production.
• Mathematical Proficiency: Strong grasp of statistics and financial modeling to calculate break-even points, profit margins, and cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.
• Software Expertise: Proficiency in SAP and good command over Excel and Power Point.
• Communication: Presenting technical financial findings to non-financial stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.

Professional Pathways

• Common Qualifications: Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Experience

Minimum 5-year experience in any process Manufacturing industry, preferable from Agro Chemical / Speciality Chemical or Pharma.
