Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a dynamic and detail-oriented CMA / Cost Accountant, based at our facility in the Ambala division. The primary responsibilities include analyzing costs of manufacturing, preparing detailed financial statements, maintaining accurate records of journal entries, and collaborating with other departments to ensure financial efficiency. The candidate will conduct cost variance analysis, monitor expenditures, and contribute to financial planning to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of product costing including BOM and overhead allocation.
• Monitor and analyze standard vs actual cost variances.
• Assist in cost optimization and cost control initiatives.
• Support costing activities for new product development.
• Assist in inventory valuation and reconciliation.
• Monitor material consumption, production variances, and wastage analysis.
• Support physical stock verification and variance reporting.
• Assist in preparation of MIS reports related to costing and manufacturing performance.
• Support budget preparation and cost forecasting.
• Work on SAP S/4HANA modules related to costing & Inventory.
• Ensure accuracy of costing data and assist in system improvements.

Qualifications

• CMA (Qualified / Inter) or Cost Accountant.
• Expertise in Cost Accounting and the ability to analyze manufacturing costs effectively
• Proficient in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements
• Strong Analytical Skills to assess financial data and identify trends
• Experience in maintaining accurate Journal Entries and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Knowledge of Finance and financial planning in a corporate environment
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Relevant certifications such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are a plus.

Experience

• 12 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing organization is mandatory.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
