Role Purpose:
To manage, upgrade, and support Oracle STP/DSR signalling platforms while executing customer migrations, virtualization transitions from Red Hat to KVM, and supporting 5G rollout activities. Ensures signalling network stability, seamless migrations, and high availability across core telecom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform upgrades, patches, and lifecycle maintenance for Oracle STP and DSR platforms.
- Troubleshoot SS7, Diameter, and SIP signalling issues, ensuring network reliability.
- Execute customer migration activities across STP/DSR nodes with minimal downtime.
- Lead Red Hat to KVM migration activities for telecom applications and services.
- Install, configure, and validate applications deployed on KVM virtualization environments.
- Migrate customer configurations, routing tables, and services to new KVM-based environments.
- Provide operational and engineering support for 5G signalling and core network rollout.
- Support VNFs/CNFs deployment and integration within virtualized KVM platforms.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on upgrades, migrations, and issue resolution.
- Document procedures, migration plans, troubleshooting steps, and change records.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years working with Oracle STP/DSR or similar telecom signalling platforms.
- Strong understanding of SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter, SIP signalling protocols.
- Experience with KVM virtualization, Linux (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu), and virtualization migration.
- Hands-on experience installing telecom apps on KVM and performing customer migrations.
- Knowledge of 5G core signalling, architecture, and VNFs/CNFs deployment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for telecom network issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, El ectronics, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
