Deputy Controller Job Description

Role Summary:

Responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, controls, and audit management. Ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly/quarterly/year-end close and prepare financial statements.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards IND AS.
• Handle statutory, internal, and tax audit coordination.
• Support tax compliance and regulatory filings.
• Partner with FP&A and business teams to provide accounting insights.
• Drive process improvements and automation.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team.

Qualifications

• CA / CPApreferred.
• 4-7 years in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with ERPs.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
