Position: Control System Engineer

Location: Chennai

Job Details:

Knowledge of the principles behind automatic control, and how it operates.

Knowledge of how to create open-loop and closed-loop control systems to create bespoke and accurate control systems.

Ability to perform software-focused engineering and maintenance activities on system projects, including installation, setup, diagnostics, backups, remote diagnostics, upgrades, licensing, etc.

Ability to develop control system application on software modules, system setups and system integration.

Knowledge of OT market (major Vendors and their commercial products)

Knowledge of OT applications developed for Oil & Gas

Knowledge of design rules applicable for control systems (DCS) and Safety systems (ESD and Fire & Gas)

Knowledge of IEC 61508 Functional Safety of Safety-Related Systems requirement and design constraints

Knowledge of ATEX requirement and design constraints

Knowledge of automation communication protocols, such as: Profibus / Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA,

Ability to transform complex user requirement specifications, process descriptions, functional/technical descriptions into application software.

Knowledge of IEC62682 "Management of alarms systems for the process industries".

Knowledge of alarms lifecycle with activities done during EPC phase, maintenance phase.

Knowledge of alarm rationalization method, alarm KPI,

Knowledge of alarm suppression method

Ability of programming PLC logic and HMI
