Experience, Key Skills & Responsibilities

• 10+ years of professional experience specializing in legal and contractual support within the Infrastructure, Power, or Energy sectors (AMI/Smart Metering experience preferred).
• Expertise in drafting, vetting, and negotiating high-value contracts, including tender documents, Joint Venture/Consortium agreements, MOUs, and complex specifications for utility projects.
• Lead contract interpretation and analysis , providing standard terms for purchase orders, subcontracts, and flow-down conditions to ensure business protection and compliance.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution , handling claims, charges, and labor-related matters independently or in coordination with external counsels.
• Provide cross-functional legal support to Procurement, Projects, Tendering, and Finance teams regarding DISCOM invoicing, cash collections, and partner payments.
• Oversee external governance and audits , interacting with DISCOMs for SLA sign-offs and project reviews, while coordinating with consultants for Cyber Security Audits.

Qualification / Industry

• Educational Background: LLB Graduate or Graduate Engineer.
• Industry Focus: Power, Energy, Utilities, and Infrastructure.
