About the Function:

In the growing E-commerce industry, content plays a vital role in accelerating business growth via information, inspiration, and customer engagement. As a Content Writer for the Holidays segment leading funnel and inspirational content for the LOB, you will be responsible for communication excellence across touchpoints like itineraries, inspirational videos and blogs, mailers and newsletters, other funnel content, post-sales communication, and SEO content.


About the Role:

The role is a key contributor within the Holidays Content vertical, where the incumbent will serve as the driving force behind the team’s success—managing multiple projects across the Holidays business. A strong news and research orientation is essential; the candidate should consistently stay updated on the latest developments in the travel industry to lead the creation of cutting-edge, inspirational travel content that stays ahead of the curve. The incumbent must have the ability to derive meaningful customer insights and translate them into customer-first content ideas. This customer-centric approach should be evident across all pre- and post-sales communication. Most importantly, the candidate should be passionate about creating impactful funnel content that addresses consumer concerns and delivers scalable, innovative solutions to customer problems.

What will you be doing:

  • Leading a team of writers to drive creation of itineraries, package introductions, SEO content, inspirational content, post sales emailers etc—as per briefs.

  • Giving ideas for blogs, newsletters, and other templates and themes for inspirational content, while ensuring that whatever is crafted by your team is error free, effective and on the defined brand tonality.

  • Leading the team by example by crafting sample communications yourself, as required.

  • Ensuring 100% consistency in content (style, format, font) and images.

  • Identifying gaps in the existing content and suggesting new ideas based on customer and business demands.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Supply, Category, and Engineering to understand project requirements and ensure smooth execution.

  • Coordinating with external stakeholders and agencies to deliver high-quality content in a defined and structured manner.

    Qualification & experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related field, with strong written and communication skills, and at least 8 years of experience in publishing or content-related industries—including a minimum of 2 years in a digital company.

    • Strong interpersonal abilities for seamless coordination with team members and stakeholders.

    • Experience in content-related roles within an e-commerce environment is an added advantage.

     Key success factors for the role:

    • Craft compelling and brand-aligned content with a deep understanding of the brief, target audience, and brand tone.

    • Demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills across both short- and long-form content, ensuring clarity, impact, and consistency.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet tight deadlines, maintaining strong attention to detail and effective time management.

    • Proactively contribute ideas to enhance content strategy and funnel effectiveness, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and user engagement.

    • Maintain a strong grasp of market trends, competitive landscape, and brand positioning to improve content relevance and performance.
