Content and Social Media Lead (Video-First, Community-Led)

Mackly is not here to play safe on social media - were building a bold, culture-led kids movement wear brand that actually moves people.
Were looking for a Content and Social Media Lead who can own content end-to-end , from ideation to publishing to performance, across social platforms and our parent community.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can think strategically, create content independently, move fast, and ensure Mackly shows up consistently, sharply, and on-culture everywhere we exist online.
What you will do :Content Strategy & Planning
Own the monthly content strategy and calendar across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Meta platforms, Linkedin and community channels
Translate brand goals, launches, and campaigns into clear content narratives and themes
Ensure a video-first, culture-relevant content approach
Content Creation & Publishing
Ideate, create, and publish content across social platforms
Write hooks, captions, scripts, prompts, and post copies
Use tools like Canva, CapCut, InShot, Adobe Express, or similar to create visuals when needed
Collaborate with the in-house creative/video team and act as a content backup when required
Ensure fast turnaround time (TAT) from idea post
Performance & Optimisation
Track and own social media metrics: reach, watch time, saves, engagement, and growth
Analyse performance and iterate content based on insights, not assumptions
Continuously refine hooks, formats, posting patterns, and content angles
Community & Distribution
Plan and manage content for Macklys community WhatsApp groups (value-led, trust-building content)
Repurpose and adapt content for third-party platforms like Quora, Reddit, and relevant forums
Understand how content behaves differently across platforms and optimise accordingly
Culture, Trends & Tools
Stay deeply plugged into internet culture, platform trends, and format shifts
Use AI tools for ideation, scripting, research, planning, and optimisation
Act as a bridge between marketing, content, and performance teams
Who we're looking for:
2+ years of hands-on experience in content creation + social media execution
Strong understanding of reels, shorts, hooks, storytelling, and platform behaviour
Comfortable creating content independently, not just briefing others
Strategic thinker with strong execution speed
Familiar with content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, etc.) and AI tools
Able to manage multiple content streams without losing quality or consistency
Clear communicator with strong ownership mindset
Bonus if you have :
Experience handling community-led content (WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, etc.)
Ability to read analytics and turn insights into better content
Experience posting on platforms like Quora or Reddit
Design or video skills as a strong backup, not a dependency
A strong instinct for trend forecasting and content distribution
