Applications are invited for the position of Content Analyst, Corporate Actions based in the Data Operations team in Bangalore, India. The position is offered on local terms and will require working in shifts. The position will report to the Team Leader, Corporate Actions. The Data Operations team in Bangalore is responsible for the collection and maintenance of high quality data across a wide range of financial markets and asset classes. Its mission is to deliver differentiated and significantly improved data and service to make our products indispensable in the markets targeted by the segments, while improving cost effectiveness.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

There is a requirement for a Content Analyst with in-depth knowledge of Corporate Actions. The role will be within the Corporate Actions team in Bangalore.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for data quality of Corax content; accuracy, timeliness and completeness and act as a data quality ambassador within the group.
• Play an active role in testing of new and old projects.
• Gain expert knowledge on data models to assist in quality control measures.
• Perform quality control on content, checking back to source and ensuring that any subsequent data changes are reflected in the database.
• Liaise with Content Analysts/Associate Content Analysts on data quality issues and ensure that remedial action is taken where appropriate.
• Manage and take ownership of the resolution process for all customer related issues
• Work effectively within teams or by yourself, proactively identifying and resolving problems
• Provide project assistance within the group for builds, cleanse and specific quality initiatives.
• Research new and review existing sources to ensure that quality, timeliness and automation are improved.
• Train new members of staff; provide product and/or database training to staff members.
• Trouble-shoot data issues and translate them into actions and solutions.
• Document MOWs, policies, procedures and work processes.
• Find opportunities on simplification and automation of the processes.

Education:

Bachelors Degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management or a related analytical field) or equivalent.
 

Required Skills:

• Professional Qualifications - at least a Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business Management or a related Analytical field
• Ability to work in a time sensitive environment with a keen eye for detail
• Corporate actions content knowledge and process knowledge of Global markets.
• Knowledge of Corporate Actions is a prerequisite. Strong knowledge of Financial Markets and their operations
• Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills
. Data flow model & Knowledge on Products (Eikon, Datascope)
• Ability to work within a team and to build interpersonal relationships
• Ability to internalize processes and data quickly
• Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly advanced MS Excel
• Should be Customer Oriented.
• Good Analytical and data mining skills.
