Consultant - Supplier Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and drive the PPAP process, including conducting the Start of Development (SOD) kickoff.
• Review design documents for new part development.
• Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies in collaboration with Design and Industrial teams.
• Define measurement methods and criteria (IQP) for new components.
• Assist in PPAP audits at the suppliers facility.
• Evaluate supplier PPAP documentation as per guidelines.
• Monitor issues identified during PPAP runs and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful component validation (PVP/CVP) and Production Trial Run (PTR).
• Hand over newly validated components to respective plants after PTR completion.

Skills and Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Injection Moulding, Stamping, and Casting.
• Good understanding of Metrology and GD&T principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with quality management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
