About the Team and the Role

The ERP product & system team at Ather is responsible for building the digital backbone that directly controls and optimizes our production environment, creating the crucial digital link synchronizing the high-speed flow of materials with actual production execution.

This role is for a Key designer responsible for configuring and streamlining complex manufacturing processes, ensuring peak efficiency, resource optimization, and strict quality control on the shop floor.

Responsibilities : 

• Lead configuration for demand management, planning strategies (MTS/MTO), and monitor MRP Live for component availability.

• Design and implement Production Scheduling and Capacity Leveling solutions utilizing embedded PP/DS for resource optimization.

• Configure core production master data, manage the production order lifecycle, and define data exchange standards for MES integration.

• Implement discrete manufacturing models and lead the configuration of all core QM master data.

• Manage inspection lot creation (GR, In-Process, Final), results recording, and usage decision processes.

• Manage critical integration points between PP/QM and other modules including CO, MM, SD, and WM/EWM for material staging.

• Author detailed functional specifications (RICEFW) for custom reports and interfaces, collaborating closely with ABAP developers.

• Provide expert-level production support for complex issues and lead SIT/UAT for end-to-end manufacturing scenarios.

Experience and Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP PP/QM Functional Consultant with at least one full-cycle S/4 HANA implementation.

Must Have Competencies : 

• Possess deep configuration mastery across core PP and QM areas, including MRP parameters and Inspection/Notification processing.

• Demonstrate expertise in discrete manufacturing, Rework Order management, Batch determination, and KANBAN methodology.

• Proven ability to map complex manufacturing and quality processes to SAP S/4HANA standards and write detailed functional specifications.

• Extensive experience in integration methods such as IDoc, OData, and Proxies across MM, CO, SD, and WM/EWM modules.

Good to have Competencies

• Familiarity with the S/4HANA roadmap, including pMRP, embedded FMEA, and the use of relevant Fiori apps.

• Knowledge of ABAP debugging within the PP/QM landscape for technical analysis and troubleshooting.

• Official SAP Certification in S/4HANA Production Planning or Quality Management.

• Hands-on experience with embedded Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) or SAP IBP.
