Job Highlight:
We are seeking an experienced consultant to provide strategic and operational support to the project team in developing, managing, and strengthening partnerships with multiple government agencies. The consultant will play a critical role in the current phase of the project, which focuses on dissemination, scalability, and long-term sustainability of project outcomes and impact.
Beyond partnership management, the consultant will be expected to contribute across a broad range of project functions, bringing both technical depth and on-ground experience. This includes leading and supporting gap assessments and overseeing and coordinating local partners and their workstreams. The role will require close collaboration with local government departments, active engagement with multi-disciplinary internal teams, and the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform project decisions.
The consultant will also contribute to the development of capacity-building modules, conduct capacity building workshops and support research and knowledge-generation activities, and assist in documentation, reporting, and dissemination of learnings. Where required, the role will involve contributing inputs to drawings, visualizations, and other communication materials to support project planning and outreach. Regular field-based engagement will be essential to ensure effective implementation, coordination, and timely delivery of project milestones.
The position is well-suited for individuals interested in urban design, participatory planning, equitable public space development (developing spaces that serve people from all backgrounds), liaising with government and suggesting climate-responsive neighborhood improvements. The role offers hands-on learning and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
What will you do:
The consultant will undertake and oversee a range of project responsibilities as listed below.
- Provide regular help and support to the team.
- Involve in strategic coordination, technical inputs, and on-ground engagement.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, graphics, and communication material for various engagements.
- Liaising with government officials and local partners to review progress, align on next steps, and troubleshoot implementation challenges related to dissemination, scalability, or sustainability of project outcomes.
- Analyzing data, reviewing assessments, and synthesizing insights from field activities to inform project decisions and refine approaches.
- Support the development of capacity-building modules, documentation and reporting, and provide inputs to drawings, visualizations, or communication materials as required.
- Assist teams in surveys, data collection and analysis if required.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with project timelines.
- Support and contribute to any on-going research regarding the project.
What will you need:
- Masters degree in architecture, urban design or urban planning.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of work experience in relevant field.
- The candidate should have an adequate understanding of urban design and planning principles & guidelines.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi is a must. (Reading and Writing).
- Must be a resident of the city and is familiar with its geography.
- Proficiency in O365 applications including SharePoint, Teams & OneDrive.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD is preferred, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Ability to work calmly and enthusiastically under high pressure
Potential Salary and Benefits: Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills.
