Consultant - Radiologist

A)    Job Summary:

1)     To exercise the highest possible standard of patient care according to his/ her clinical privileges and available resources.

2)     To participate in the quality improvement training and teaching program of the hospital.

B)     Duties and Responsibilities:

1)     Abide by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.

2)     Provide the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/ she are responsible.

3)     Responsible for the clinical care of the Patients requiring Medical Care according to generally accepted standards.

4)     To attend all outdoor patients as per timings of OPD  for particular days  and norms of the   

Hospital.

5)     To communicate and cooperate with other medical staff and colleagues who have patients in the hospital and wish to discuss other pertinent medical problems regarding patients in other areas of the hospital.

6)     To Conduct All Radio diagnosis procedures

7)     Suggest the necessary investigation and treatment as per their Knowledge           

8)     To be On Call for the emergency day allotted and for Radiology References on respective day/night allotted to the Consultant.

9)     Accept the duty hours including night emergencies in rotations

10)  Facilitate the patient and perform tests with complete patience and depth

11)  Participates in the on­-call duties as required by the department. Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates in the planning and development of the Medicine department.

C)     Professional Experience:

1)     Essential: He / she is a Radiologist who receives training and certification in a Major Board recognized by the Indian Medical Council.

2)     Desirable: Good interpersonal, analytical, & decision-making skills; presence of mind.
