Roles and Responsibilities:


Serve as the go-to technical expert for all things Azure within the organization.
Guide and mentor, a team of cloud engineers and SMEs, fostering a collaborative and innovative technical environment.
Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes to ensure effective deployment of cloud solutions.
Proficiency in Cloud Networking and Security Services, (e.g. Software Defined Networking, Next Generation Firewall, Load Balancer, WAF, etc.)
Familiarity in IP networking technologies (eg. BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, TCP, UDP etc.)
Work closely with IT security to ensure the cloud environments adhere to compliance and security standards.
Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of any technical issues within the Azure environment.
Stay abreast of new Azure features and technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions meet business requirements and are integrated with enterprise architectures.
Communicate cloud strategies and technical plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

IaaS:

• Deploying and Configuring Virtual Networks.
  
• Monitor Resources using Log Analytics
  
• Deploying VMs into Virtual Networks.
  
• Backing up VMs and potentially providing Fail-over Recovery.
  
• Backing up Data and making it efficient to restore when needed.
  
• Deploy & Configure Update Management solution.
  
• Knowledge on NSG's & Azure Routes.
  
• Knowledge on PowerShell Scripting.
  
• Deploying and Configuring Virtual Networks.
  
  
  PaaS:
  
• Hands-on experience design,configure, deploy, implement and commission/decommission Azure PaaS Services
  
• Knowledge with good expose in Azure Function, App Service, Java, containers, serverless, cloud native, Cognitive Analytics, SQL Database, Cosmos DB.
  
• Backup and restore services, configurations, data (databases & storage)
  
• Monitor services and configure notifications and alerts
  
• Troubleshooting, resolving PaaS related issues
  
• Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud solutions.
  
• Provide expertise in security, networking, resilience, and performance of cloud solutions.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure services and technologies, and be able to articulate their benefits and limitations.
  
  IaC:
  
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure using Terraform.
  
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using Azure DevOps.
  
• Write and review Terraform scripts to ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable infrastructure provisioning.
  
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling to support application deployment and operational needs.
  
• Work closely with software development teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions using IaC principles.
  
• Utilize Git or similar version control systems to maintain Terraform code, and ensure proper documentation of infrastructure configurations and architectures.
  
• Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  
• Set up monitoring solutions for cloud infrastructure, and troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  
• Continuously evaluate and incorporate new technologies and tools to improve infrastructure automation and management.
  
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on Terraform, IaC practices, and Azure cloud services.
  
  
  Preferred Skills:
  - Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate).
  - Network Certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
  - Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  - Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.
