Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer with expertise in Juniper L3-level technologies to join our dynamic IT team. This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Juniper networks, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design and Implementation
Design, configure, and implement network solutions based on Juniper technologies to meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams, documentation, and standards for scalable and secure network infrastructure.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems and services.
Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of network services.
Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and upgrades to keep the network infrastructure up-to-date.
Identify and resolve complex network problems, working closely with other engineers and vendors as necessary.
Security and Compliance
Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Support and Training
Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end-users on network-related issues.
Develop and deliver training programs and documentation to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network services.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Juniper Networks Certification: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE) or equivalent.
Routing and Switching: Extensive experience with Juniper routing and switching platforms, including Junos OS.
Network Protocols: In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPv6.
Firewall and Security: Proficiency in configuring and managing Juniper firewalls and security appliances.
Network Automation: Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Monitoring and Analysis: Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
Virtualization and Cloud: Knowledge of network virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure).
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Network Design and Deployment: Develop and implement network designs that leverage the Mist Cloud to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Operational Management: Utilize Marvis VNA and the Juniper Mist dashboard to manage and monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions in real-time.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Proactively troubleshoot network issues, conduct root cause analysis, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal network health.
End-to-End Visibility: Provide comprehensive visibility into all aspects of the network, from wireless and wired to WAN, ensuring seamless operation and connectivity.
Insights and Analytics: Leverage AI-driven insights to predict potential network issues, optimize performance, and enhance user experience.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align network operations with business g
