About the Role

We are looking for aBusiness Consultant Cable Design to supportCable Design & Data Management (DDM) implementation in aproduct-based software company .

DDM (Design & Data Management) refers to the structured definition, management, and validation ofcable design parameters, formulas, dimensional data, calculations, revisions, and outputs within the software system.

This role involves working closely withcustomers and internal teams to understand cable design and manufacturing requirements, and to supportimplementation, testing, and delivery .

Key Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements related tocable design and cable manufacturing processes
• Convert requirements intoscope documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Support documentation ofcable construction steps , including:
• Completedesign calculations for power and fibre cables
• Dimensional details and build-up logic
• Writing andvalidatingformulas and calculation sheets
• Support understanding ofmanufacturing processes , including:
• Stranding, insulation, laying-up, sheathing, armouring, etc.
• Assistin implementingDesign & Data Management (DDM) by translating design logic into system requirements
• Supporttesting, UAT, and delivery , ensuring accuracy of design outputs
• Participate incustomer meetings and review sessions
• Be willing totravel within India and abroad

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BE / BTech in Electrical Engineering
• 12 years of experience in cable design or cable manufacturing
• Hands-on exposure tocable design calculations and dimensional details
• Strong working knowledge ofExcel formulas and calculation sheets
• Good communicationskills (mandatory)
• Willingness to learn and work in asoftware product environment

Nice to Have

• Knowledge ofIS / IEC cable standards
• Exposure todocumentation, testing, or implementation projects
• Awareness ofDDM / PLM / PDM concepts
