Job Description
Responsibilities
Assist in managing storage systems, including SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage), ensuring availability and performance.
Assist in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and timely recovery in case of failures.
Provide L1/L2 support for storage and backup-related incidents and service requests, escalating issues as needed for timely resolution.
Monitor storage and backup performance metrics, identifying and implementing optimization opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Maintain documentation of storage and backup configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on storage utilization and backup success rates.
Implement and adhere to security policies, procedures, and best practices for storage and backup environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Work collaboratively with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT teams to ensure integrated and efficient operations of storage and backup systems.
Assist in managing changes to storage and backup systems through testing, coordination, and documentation to minimize risks and disruptions.
