Consultant - Java Developer

• Provide team and other BFS capability teams with SME technical support during incidents, design workshops, etc.

• Provide 24x7 productions support - split between day support and (out of business hours) on-call support. Roster rotates every 4-8 weeks.

• Participate in every stage of product development e.g. analysis, design, development and testing

• Build, test, and deploy JAVA software in an agile and iterative manner

• Help project team identify, simplify, and automate tasks

• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders

• Write maintainable code using appropriate patterns and best practices.

• Follow and improve engineering standards, ensure code quality and tech debt is managed

• Identify monitoring/observability gaps and plan for further implementation/improvement

• Proficiency in JAVA 8+ (JAVA 11 is ideal but JAVA 8 is acceptable)
