Position Name: Configuration Manager
Department: Research and Development
Functional Area: Electric and Electronics
Location: Chakan, Pune
Years of Experience: 6 to 10 Years
Qualification: B.E/B. Tech Electrical & Electronics or equivalent
Purpose of the Position
- Monitor, administer and control the Conbase system (Skoda-VW group system)
- Produce & issue homologation baselines/VBV for pre-series, homologation, series build in Conbase system
- Ensure compliance with SUMS (Software Update Management System) processes
- Coordination with Verbund Control Board and Homologation Team
- Coordination with all functions BTVs
- Track H/W, S/W, ZDC for Pre Series and Series Build
- Represent Engineering in different forums, SET Meetings etc.
- Project Coordination and Tracking (Time, Cost & Quality) against Milestones
Authority
- Data approval / release at each Project milestones
- Change request approvals for the control unit versions
- Propose Technology driven initiatives
- Cross Functional Management
Skills Required
- Good understanding of SUMS (Software Update Management System) Process and Workflow
- Knowledge of Conbase system
- Communication & Analytical skills
- Good knowledge of automobile technics
- Familiarity MS Office
- Project Management
- Automotive E&E Product development knowledge
- Good administrative skills: ability to plan, develop a structure
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Creation of baseline (set of configurations of control units with project name, part number, H/W, S/W Version, H/W reference part number, ZDC, ODX) in a Conbase system
- Creation of Product Version. Managing the baseline from creation to publication
- Coordinate with Version Manager and RxSWIN Manager for baseline management
- Coordinate with component technical development team and ensure requirements are analyzed, prepared and executed in an efficient and appropriate way for decision making or implementation
- Attend meetings for new project creation in system, create vehicle project adding / Removing Members and Access
- Continuously seek, identify and co-ordinate new Indian technologies / development opportunities based on competitor/market trends, customer requirements
- Communication with Team & addition of new projects in Conbase system.
- Ensure project targets and milestones (time, cost and Quality)
- Track H/W, S/W, ZDC, ODX release
