We at Verdantas are looking for Compute Administrator to join our team.

About the Role:

The Compute Administrator supports daily administration and maintenance of the organizations compute infrastructure across onpremises and Azure environments. This role manages Windows servers, basic Linux workloads, virtualization systems, and core Active Directory services. The administrator works independently on routine tasks while escalating complex issues to senior staff.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Windows Server environments and basic Linux workloads.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines and assist with AVD.
• Support VMware and HyperV provisioning and maintenance.
• Perform server monitoring, patching, configuration, and lifecycle tasks.
• Support AD DS, DNS, GPO, and Sites and Services.
• Maintain DNS entries and assist with certificate renewals.
• Participate in server migrations and M&A projects.
• Follow security baselines and support remediation activities.
• Contribute to DR/BCP activities.
• Maintain documentation and SOPs.
• Escalate issues as necessary.

Skills:

• Technical Proficiency: Solid Windows Server; basic Linux; Azure VMs + virtualization (guided); AD/DNS/GPO proficiency; basic scripting; supports DR.
• Analytical Skills: Troubleshoots routine issues, identifies patterns.
• Communication: Clear operational communication, maintains documentation.
• Problem-Solving: Resolves common issues; escalates complex problems.
• Attention to Detail: Reliable execution of SOPs and updates.
• Adaptability: Learns new processes with guidance.
• Teamwork: Supports team workloads and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of experience
