About the Role
We are seeking a Computational Linguist to join our Conversational AI team. You will design and execute research methods and tooling that evaluate and enhance our AI capabilities in Speech & Natural Language Processing across chatbots, voice bots, knowledge systems, and agent assistive technologies. This role combines deep expertise in linguistic analysis with practical application to AI/ML systems spanning multiple languages. Your work will directly impact how we develop, assess, and optimize our conversational AI products and services.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive evaluation tooling while translating project goals into concrete execution plans—including data requirements and curation, evaluation methodologies, benchmarking frameworks, and automated testing pipelines to support model assessment workflows
Evaluate AI model performance through benchmark analysis and user feedback, conducting comprehensive error analysis to derive actionable insights and deliver rigorous documentation to project stakeholders
Validate analysis tooling through statistical testing, performance benchmarking, and output verification to ensure reproducible results and high-confidence insights for model evaluation
Collaborate effectively with feature teams to understand evaluation requirements, align on priorities, and build sustainable AI assessment capabilities that enable and empower feature teams for continuous improvement
Balance multiple concurrent projects across diverse languages and modalities, maintaining clear visibility on timelines and proactively communicating progress and risks to stakeholders
Foster respectful professional relationships, be a thoughtful steward of organizational resources, and maintain strict adherence to data ethics, security, and privacy standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computational Linguistics, Human Language Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
1–2 years’ experience in data curation, designing and implementing evaluation methodologies and benchmarking frameworks
Strong skills in statistical and error analysis for AI model performance assessment
Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) for data manipulation, analysis, and evaluation tooling.
Experience applying LLMs to computational linguistics tasks
Native or bilingual English proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical findings to diverse audiences
Comfortable in fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environments
Preferred Background
Master’s or advanced degree in Computational Linguistics, Human Language Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
Familiarity with conversational AI applications such as chatbots, virtual agents, knowledge search, summarization, or human-assistive copilots
Experience with testing pipelines and process automation, and CI/CD workflows
Knowledge of additional high-demand commercial languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic)
Experience working in Agile environments and proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub)
