Job Description

Company Description

Viscus Engineering specializes in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and engineering design optimization for industries requiring precision and high performance. Our expertise spans advanced physics modeling, high-performance computing (HPC), and multiphysics simulations to solve complex engineering challenges. We deliver solutions across aerodynamics, thermal sciences, hydrodynamics, and structural analysishelping clients reduce development cycles, optimize performance, and accelerate innovation. Serving aerospace, automotive, marine, energy, and manufacturing sectors, we turn complex physics into practical engineering results.

Role Description

Viscus Engineering is hiring a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer for a full-time, on-site position in Hyderabad . This role involves executing and interpreting CFD simulations across fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer applications. You will perform modeling and design optimization, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative simulation-driven engineering solutions using advanced tools and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, run, and validate CFD simulations for internal/external flows, aerodynamics, thermal/heat transfer, and multiphysics problems
  • Perform meshing, setup (BCs, turbulence models, numerics), solving, and post-processing; deliver clear engineering insights and recommendations
  • Conduct design studies and optimization (DOE/parametric sweeps), including automation where applicable
  • Support projects involving hydrodynamics / co-hydrodynamics (e.g., marine flows, free-surface/multiphase, or coupled flow behavior as applicable)
  • Contribute to advanced applications such as chemical kinetics and combustion (reacting flows, combustion modeling, emissions/thermal performance)
  • Work with teams across design/FEA/manufacturing to ensure simulation results translate into practical, buildable improvements
  • Document assumptions, methods, verification/validation, and best practices to maintain high simulation quality
Qualifications (Required)
  • Strong fundamentals in Fluid Dynamics / Fluid Mechanics
  • Proficiency in Aerodynamics modeling and analysis
  • Experience in Thermal Analysis and Heat Transfer (e.g., CHT, convection, radiation basics)
  • Hands-on experience with CFD tools (and familiarity with FEA workflows is a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex engineering simulations
  • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Automation with ANSYS PyFluent (scripting, batch runs, parametric workflows, report automation)
  • Experience with chemical kinetics and combustion (reacting flow modeling, combustion/turbulence interaction, species transport)
  • Experience with HPC environments (parallel runs, solver scaling, cluster usage)
  • Multiphysics exposure (e.g., FSI , conjugate heat transfer, multiphase/free-surface, rotating machinery)
  • Ability to create reusable simulation templates and robust workflows for repeatability and speed
