Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Delhi-NCR for a Community Mobilizer at Why Waste Wednesdays Foundation. The Community Mobilizer will work closely with local communities, identifying needs, facilitating engagement, fostering participation, organizing events and workshops, and supporting initiatives promoting zero waste practices. The role involves proactive collaboration with community stakeholders to implement sustainable projects and drive positive environmental behavior change on a grassroots level.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • 0-2 years experience in waste management
  • Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills to foster collaboration and build meaningful relationships with individuals and organizations.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to address community needs and provide support with clarity and empathy.
  • Experience or competency in community management to execute projects and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission.
  • Basic MS Office skills, Canva and similar AI tools. Advanced skills shall be preferable
  • Proven organizational and leadership abilities to coordinate events, workshops, and collaborative efforts within the community.
  • Passionate about sustainability and knowledgeable about waste management and environmental practices.
  • Flexibility to work on-site and actively engage in fieldwork as required for the role.
