Why Waste Wednesdays Foundation is a non-profit Section 8 company dedicated to promoting sustainability and reducing single-use plastics. Guided by UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 11, 12, 13, and 17, the organization is committed to creating a greener and more sustainable world. Through impactful initiatives such as Vikalp "Borrow a Bag," the crockery bank, and Zero Waste events, the foundation fosters community engagement and inspires action. Operating with 12A, 80G, CSR-1, MSME, and NITI Aayog registrations, the foundation collaborates with communities to drive environmental change. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in New Delhi. As a Community Mobilizer, you will actively engage with communities to raise awareness and drive participation in sustainability initiatives and projects. You will coordinate community events, facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders, promote waste reduction programs, and support local actions aligned with the foundations mission. Building strong relationships with community members and organizations will be integral to the role.
Qualifications
- A fresh graduate preferably from Delhi University
- Experience with NSS/Enactus preferred
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse individuals and groups
- Exceptional Communication and Customer Service skills for addressing community concerns and providing support
