Collaboration & Email Platforms Team Lead

Role: Collaboration & Email Platforms Team Lead (On-Site | Navi Mumbai | Night Shift US Hours)

We are hiring a Collaboration & Email Platforms Team Lead to own and evolve collaboration, messaging, identity, and email security ecosystems for U.S. based schools and small to medium enterprise clients. This role supports Microsoft 365, Google Workspace for Education, Exchange, Proofpoint, SharePoint, Teams, and identity platforms, while leading a small team and driving SLA-based service delivery during U.S. business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2 Collaboration Engineers; act as final escalation point
• Administer and secure Exchange Online, Hybrid Exchange, Microsoft 365, M365 Education, and tenant governance
• Manage Google Workspace for Education: identity, groups, policies, Gmail, and integrations
• Oversee email security tools such as Proofpoint and KnowBe4; drive phishing, spoofing, and threat defense
• Support collaboration platforms: Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, site governance, and migration activities
• Implement MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, Duo, and strong identity security across cloud & hybrid environments
• Maintain directory hygiene for AD & Entra ID (sync health, OU structure, stale objects, lifecycle)
• Drive licensing strategy, optimization, cost control, and compliance (M365, education suites, partner competencies)
• Own PSA delivery in ConnectWise Manage: tickets, SLAs, RCAs, changes, client communication, projects
• Collaborate with Project, Server, Network, Managed Services, and Security teams on cross-platform dependencies
• Create SOPs, documentation, tenant standards, governance models, and knowledge resources

Must-Have Technical Expertise

• Email & Messaging: Exchange Online, Hybrid Exchange, mail flow, security hardening
• Cloud Platforms: Microsoft 365 Admin, Google Workspace (Education preferred)
• Email Security: Proofpoint, anti-phishing, anti-spam, malware defense
• Awareness & Training: KnowBe4 administration
• Identity & Access: Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, Duo
• Collaboration Tools: Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, migrations and governance
• Directory: AD + Azure AD hygiene for hybrid environments
• PSA: ConnectWise Manage (critical)
• Scripting: PowerShell (highly preferred)

Soft Skills & Leadership Requirements

• 3+ years leading or owning collaboration/email platform operations
• Excellent English communication for U.S. clients and global teams
• Strong escalation handling during live incidents and migrations
• Highly structured approach to SLA delivery, RCA, change management, and governance
• Strong cross-team collaboration with Network, Server, Managed Services, and Security teams

Shift & Work Requirements

Location: On-site in Navi Mumbai

Night Shifts: Mandatory (supports EST/CST/PST)

Client-Facing: Lead U.S.-based calls, escalations, and project delivery

Incident Response: Leadership during U.S. business-hour incidents
