Job Description
Department: Finance / Project Accounting
Reporting To: Head CFO
Location: Gurgaon
Job Summary:
The COGS Manager will be responsible for end-to-end Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) management for Design & Build
business, ensuring accurate project cost tracking, margin control, project profitability and compliance with
accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Project Costing:
Manage COGS accounting for all Design & Build projects.
Track project-wise costs including materials, labor, subcontracting, logistics, and overheads.
Monitor budget vs actuals and highlight variances.
Manage WIP and accruals.
Coordinate with project teams for timely cost booking.
2.Margin & Profitability Analysis:
Perform project margin analysis.
Allocate direct and indirect costs accurately.
Identify cost optimization opportunities.
Prepare COGS forecasts and track actuals against forecast.
3.Vendor & Contract Accounting:
Review BOQs, contracts, and work orders.
Validate vendor and subcontractor bills.
Ensure timely provisioning and closures.
4.Compliance & Audit:
Ensure adherence to accounting policies and SOPs.
Support Big 4 audits with proper documentation.
5.Stakeholder Coordination:
Work closely with Projects, Procurement, and Finance teams.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Project Accounting & COGS expertise
Experience in Design & Build industry
Advanced Excel & ERP knowledge
Strong analytical skills
Qualifications & Experience:
CA / CMA or a MBA Finance preferred
Key Performance Indicators:
Timeliness Accuracy of COGS reporting
Project margin control
