Location: Chennai, Noida and Bangalore.
Experience: 8years to 20 years.
The Role
This CoE governs white space engineering standards and deployment best practices for compute and network environments inside the data center. It defines frameworks for rack density, capacity engineering, zoning, and modular expansion to ensure scalable and compliant deployments.
The role converts project learnings into reusable standards and validates that deployments follow optimized, repeatable patterns. It closely aligns with power, cooling, and cabling standards to ensure holistic integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define AI-ready compute floor standards, including high-density rack layouts, liquid cooling readiness, and future GPU expansion.
- Lead white space design assurance and peer reviews for complex or high-risk deployments
- Define global rack layout, zoning, and density standards ensuring scalable, serviceable, and high-performance compute and network deployments.
- Develop capacity engineering frameworks translating business and workload forecasts into actionable white space design baselines.
- Standardize containment, airflow management, and thermal zoning practices to maintain efficiency across varying density scenarios.
- Validate project designs against scalability, resilience, and compliance criteria before deployment approvals are granted.
- Maintain and publish reference layouts for common deployment archetypes including enterprise, hyperscale, and AI-focused environments.
- Govern adoption of white space standards across regions, partners, and parallel global deployment programs.
- Update frameworks to support emerging high-density and liquid-cooled rack technologies and operational practices.
- Provide expert review and escalation support for atypical or high-risk white space design scenarios.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience designing high-density and AI-enabled white spaces
- Strong understanding of rack-level power distribution, containment strategies, and airflow optimization
- Familiarity with capacity modeling, space utilization analytics, and growth forecasting
- Experience in DC white space and capacity engineering.
- Knowledge of high-density and liquid-cooled deployments.
- Familiarity with airflow modelling and thermal design.
- 10-12 years in DC design or operations engineering.
- Strong documentation and standards authoring skills.
- CFD / airflow modeling tool training
