  1. ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

  • Managing the various business teams to Drive the Third-Party Products business & revenue for the assigned branches in the region. The Area Manager will be responsible for a minimum of 50 branches.

  • Focus on Ensuring IRDA certification to all the branches with minimum 4 or more per branch

  • Engaging with CBH, RH, AMs, RBMs to deliberate on the Income lines across all the products and Regions Activation

  • Co-ordinate with the Area SPOCs of the Insurance Partners for leads, logins, issuances and escalations

20 Cr to 50 Cr Portfolio to be managed- TPP

  • Handle assigned set of branches and drive TPP Business and Income

  • Work with Branches to increase branch profitability

  • Reduce income leakage



  1. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Business


  • Responsible for TPP business generation for the allotted cluster (minimum of 50 branches)

  • Responsible to ensure revenue generation from each of the branches of his cluster.

  • Responsible to ensure timely roll out of TPP business in all the branches of his cluster.

  • Ensure, supervise the correct implementation of the retail business


Customer


  • Building relationship with all BMs and drive business through them

  • Responsible to ensure that all the Branch Staff in the assigned branches are IRDA certified

  • Responsible to coordinate with external Insurance representatives to stay up to date with their recent launches.


Internal process


  • Responsible for smooth operation of TPP business in branches

  • Responsible to ensure that business is driven through compliant processes.

  • Responsible for ensuring implementation of Mandatory Display of the documents



Learning & Performance


  • Ensure that all members of his team are up to date on all relevant circulars and all products/services offered in the Branch

  • Evaluate the staff competences in terms of promotion, business assessment and credit risk assessment capacity and propose solutions for improvement

  • Ensure adherence to training man-days/ mandatory training programs for self and reportees

  • Ensure goal-setting, mid-year review and annual appraisal process within specified timelines for self and reportees

  • Monitor performance of staff against defined goals/metrics and take corrective action wherever required; undertake disciplinary and attendance monitoring of Housing Loans team.

Educational

Qualifications

  • Graduate, preferably Post Graduation



Experience

  • 10 to 15 years in sales



Functional Skills

  • Ability to create teams and drive sales performance. Will be required to take complete ownership of the TPP business at sub-regional level.

  • Ability to engage with customers, colleagues & insurance partners

  • Ability to plan and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Team Leading Experience is highly preferred

  • Ability to speak and read regional language(s)- is desirable. Ability to communicate in English (Read-speak-write) is required. Has good verbal fluency and uses simple, clear and purposeful language.

  • Good Computer knowledge.

  • Characteristics of Entrepreneurial Behavior – Ability to plan, set goals, initiative, persistence, self-discipline, capacity to take risks, produce support networks and assess the market

  • Establishes a friendly and professional relationship with the entire team
