At SolarSquare we are building the Home-Energy brand of future India. We help homes switch to rooftop solar and move away from traditional coal electricity. We are a full-stack D2C residential solar brand - designing, installing, maintaining (after-sales) and financing solar systems for home-owners across India.

Role Purpose:
The Cluster Head will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all solar assets (Rooftop, CHS, C&I) within the Mumbai region. This includes overseeing project execution (EPC), managing regional P&L, and leading a team of engineers and managers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution (EPC) & Delivery
- Timeline Management: Ensure all new solar installations in the cluster are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate with and manage local sub-contractors, equipment suppliers, and labor teams.
- Safety (HSE): Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment protocols across all active sites.
2. Regional Liaising & Compliance
- Utility Coordination: Lead interactions with MSEDCL, BEST, Tata Power, and Adani Electricity for net-metering approvals, grid connectivity, and CEIG inspections.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on Maharashtras solar policies, subsidies (e.g., PM Surya Ghar Yojana), and MERC regulations.
- Statutory Approvals: Manage documentation for IOD/CC/OC and other municipal clearances.
3. Team Leadership & Financial Management
- People Management: Mentor a team of Site Engineers, O&M Managers, and Liaison Officers.
- Budgeting: Manage regional OPEX/CAPEX budgets and drive cost-optimization initiatives.
- Revenue Assurance: Coordinate with the billing team to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
Requirements:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. An MBA in Operations or Power Management is highly preferred.
- Experience: 610 years in the solar industry, with at least 5 years in a regional or cluster leadership role.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in Inverters, Transformers, HT/LT panels, and PV module technology. Familiarity with PVSyst or Helioscope is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Language: Fluency in English and Hindi. Proficiency in Marathi is a significant advantage for local authority liaising.
