Cloud Solutions Program Manager

We are seeking passionate, energetic, and collaborative Solutions Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects tied to a larger program, and will understand both hardware and cloud development dynamics. In this role you will provide critical issue management, anticipate, and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus constraints.

You will work with product leaders, engineering leaders, ecosystem partners and technical project managers to ensure we deliver award-winning solutions every 91 days. You can see the big picture are you not intimidated by complexity. You know how to identify and manage risk, organize teams, leverage TPMs, and manage expectations and stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage the delivery of quarterly Product Solutions.
• Coordinate across several internal and external teams to deliver solutions on time.
• Establish integrated program plans which include project scope, goals, key milestones, and deliverables for product development programs which account for all involved disciplines.
• Develop detailed project plans with defined timelines, dependencies, owners, and resource requirements.
• Proactively manage changes to projects scope by identifying potential risks, and exercising sound business judgements to develop solutions, mitigate risks and keep projects on schedule.
• Lead Project update meetings, maintain project schedule, resource utilization and prepare weekly/monthly project status reports.
• Conduct post project completion reviews to identify successes, opportunities, overall project success and PM effectiveness.
• Manage project resource allocation, project budget, and timeline.
• Ensure proper resources are assigned to meet schedules.
• Track and report project deliverables.
• Provide direction and support to the project team.
• Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and oversee project resources.
• Ensure quality processes are in place, and testing is sufficient to meet customer requirements Ensure project success and sustainability including user adoption and change management.
• Identify risks and issues and drive mitigation actions.
• Influence outcomes in an engaging and positive manner.
• Manage the engagement between the Calix and outside design partners.
• Manage, document, and improve the Calix outsourcing and NPI processes.
• Ensure all phase deliverables are properly dispositioned and archived.
• Ensure supporting technical documentation is adequate to deliver product on time.
• Establish peer working relationships with design partner Program Managers.
• Program manage globally distributed teams.
• Provide Calix management with timely program updates and status.
• Coordinate with Calix software cadence program managers, product line managers and software development managers impacted by hardware programs.

Qualifications:

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Extensive experience developing software and or hardware products through 3rd party partners.
• Broad business exposure in product strategy, detailed release planning and contract negotiation.
• Able to manage multiple projects running simultaneously.
• Effective negation skills while coordinating multiple groups driven by multiple priorities.  Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, influence stakeholders, and develop partnerships outside of the organization.
• Experienced with large complex solutions
• Experience in stakeholder engagement.
• Skilled in the use of program management tools to track scope, schedule, resources, and metrics. 
• Experienced with the Atlassian tool suite(Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Power BI or equivalent.
• Ability to present to senior leadership levels.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced, dynamic, and high growth environment.
• Ambitious, passion to learn and wants to have fun while driving change.
• 10+ years’ experience in a related field.
• Demonstrable ability to think outside the box to resolve technical issues and resource conflicts and create great user experiences.
