Role Profile

Join our AWS team within the Cloud Productivity Engineering (CPE) division at LSEG as a Cloud Platform Engineer. This role is crucial for supporting and enhancing AWS platforms that underpin both heritage and strategic platforms across LSEG. You will contribute to developing solutions that optimize costs, standardize the estate, and adhere to corporate technology and security standards, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills

Solid experience in cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and Direct Connect.

Solid experience in creating cloud machine images using Packer, Python, Golang and Bash

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform and AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).

Proficiency in configuration management using Ansible

Strong understanding of AWS monitoring and management using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other AWS tools.

Knowledge in implementing AWS security best practices, including IAM, VPC design, and security groups.

Preferred Skills and Experience 

Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.

Understanding of advanced AWS networking, including VPN, NAT gateways, and peering configurations.

Familiarity with AWS Direct Connect and hybrid cloud environments.

Basic knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
