Job Title: Cloud Migration Engineer

Looking for a skilled Cloud Migration Specialist to plan, execute, and manage the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from on-premises or legacy environments to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in cloud platforms and hands-on experience in designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud migration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into

scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on AWS and Azure.

Assess existing on-premises applications and infrastructure for cloud readiness

Define cloud migration strategies (re-hosting, re-platforming, re-factoring, etc.)

Plan and execute end-to-end cloud migration activities with minimal downtime

Design target cloud architecture aligned with security, scalability, and performance requirements

Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams

Perform data migration, validation, and post-migration optimization

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards

Troubleshoot migration issues and provide post-migration support

Optimize cloud costs and performance after migration

Create and maintain migration documentation and runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

410 years of IT experience, with at least 25 years in cloud migration projects

Strong hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP

Experience with cloud migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, Google Migrate, etc.)

Knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and security concepts

Experience migrating applications (VMs, databases, and workloads) to the cloud

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Strategic Thinking - Ability to design comprehensive migration approaches

Technical Adaptability - Quick learning and application of emerging cloud technologies
